A single thread. The cover's drawing is a continuous thread — red, yellow, blue and green, changing colour along the way — that enters from the top, loops, crosses itself and exits below, with no visible beginning or end. It is the sewing thread and the thread of the verse: poiesis as the act of tacking together.

Room to breathe. The thread skirts the centre without invading it, and that is where the title and the author's name sit, in a light sans serif, lowercase, aligned left. The peach background sets the tone of an old sewing box.
