The character who asks to exist. Bárbara Maria is the child-girl who became a character, and the cover gives her a face: a woman with large eyes and a red mouth, painted in flat colours — yellow, red, blue, green — like cut paper or a block print. Around her, flowers, leaves and loose strokes that surround without hiding her. She fills the whole frame: she exists.

White and colour. The white background lets the figure breathe, and the title in black serif, upper left, in three lines, has the weight of a spoken phrase. The author's name below, smaller. It is a joyful cover for a book that speaks of gestation, of held-back screams and of salvation — the contrast is intentional.
