Eight, not four. On the front, four women dance in black silhouette on yellow — different bodies, different gestures, one with an arm raised, another with a leg in the air. The other four are on the back: the open cover completes the count. Each has her face replaced by an orange circle, except one, whose circle is white — the one who stands out, or the one who is missing, or the one who is reading.

Yellow, black, orange. No image beyond the silhouettes; the yellow is the field and the light. The title in black serif and the author's name in white, side by side at the foot, like a caption. The TAUP colophon at the top, discreet.

Inside, the dance goes on. The endpapers carry the silhouettes in a pattern over the yellow. The open cover has the back with the other four women, the flap in orange with the author's portrait, and the back-cover text, by Jéssica Iancoski.
